Mostly stable snow exist and avalanches are unlikely except in isolated areas. Suspect areas include extreme terrain and very steep rocky slopes that face north at the higher elevations. Some potential may persist for hard slabs to fail on a basal layer of faceted snow in these suspect locations.

Cloud cover will increase during the day on Friday ahead of the next weather system slated to move into the area Friday night. Overnight lows in the mountains will be in the mid-20s before rising to near 30 during the day. Southerly to southwesterly ridgetop winds will range from 15 to 25 miles per hour. In the Tetons and Greys River area, where mostly stable snow exists and avalanches are unlikely, the general avalanche hazard is expected to remain LOW. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be MODERATE above 9,000 feet in the Togwotee Pass area. There, backcountry travelers could trigger hard slab avalanches in isolated areas on steep, northerly aspects.
