The General Avalanche Hazard is CONSIDERABLE. West to southwest winds have formed unstable soft surface slabs up to a foot in depth that will continue to gain depth and volume during the day. The new slabs have increased the load on existing older hard slabs. Humans who venture into steep wind loaded avalanche paths are likely to trigger these surface slabs and could trigger dangerous deeper hard slabs that could step down to the ground.
