The General Avalanche Hazard is LOW. The new snow came with cooling temperatures which should adhere well to the old surface and reduce the chance of triggering wet-loose slides.

( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )Showers this evening will be replaced by widespread snow later tonight. Three to six inches of wet snow may accumulate at mid and upper elevations by Friday morning then damp snow will continue into the day. Morning lows will be in the upper twenties and warm little Friday. Winds will be westerly along the peaks at 25 miles per hour.Cold temperatures and heavy snow will trap heat in the snowpack and the chance of slides will be very dependent on rain level. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be Low at upper elevations and Moderate at low elevations Friday.
