Lo esencial
The General Avalanche Hazard will increase to HIGH. Very strong winds and new snow will create new shallow wind slabs on leeward aspects. The new slabs will form upon windpacked snow and melt-freeze crusts and are likely to become sensitive to human triggers as they gain depth and volume. Hard slabs up to six feet in depth exist on a variety of aspects and lie upon weak layers of faceted snow and slick crusts near the base of the snowpack. The potential for these very dangerous deep slabs to be triggered by the weight of a human or to release naturally will increase as the day progresses. TRAVEL IN AVALANCHE TERRAIN IS NOT RECOMMENDED.
