Avalanche Summary

Little or no overnight freeze means you can trigger an avalanche in wet snow early in the day. The snow will quickly get wet and gloppy, and avalanches will gouge deeper. If you are sinking into wet snow past your ankles, it is time to call it a day or head to lower-angle slopes. Prolonged warm weather means cornices are starting to get soggy and saggy. These can break a long way back from the visible edge. Avoid being on or under these callosal monsters.
