Lo esencial

Storm snow and wind slabs have had a few days to adjust and bond to the old snow surface and are now largely nonreactive. No avalanche problems are expected for Friday. As always, watch for signs of unstable snow on isolated terrain features.

Avalanche Discussion

On Friday, the sun will be out with a high temperature in the low 30s. I do not expect the sun or temperature to have enough of an effect to create any wet avalanche problems.

Over the last few days, observers have found wind slabs, formed during and after the last storm, to be nonreacitve. There may be light amounts of blowing snow in the high country, but likely not enough to create new wind slabs that are deep enough to be a problem.

Have fun, stay sharp, and enjoy the day.
