Avalanche Activity

SC 17.12.22 New unstable windslab will develop NW, N to E aspects above 800m. Steep terrain most affected. Avalanche hazard Moderate

Forecast Snow Stability: Redistribution of existing snow will lead to soft fresh windslab developing in sheltered locations on mainly North-West through North to East aspects above 800 metres. Wind sheltered steep terrain such as gully exits and scarp slopes will be particularly affected. Isolated pockets of windslab will also persist on other aspects. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.
