Forecast Snow Stability: Unstable windslab will persist and continue to develop throughout the forecast period. Greatest accumulations will be in steep wind sheltered locations mainly on North to East aspects above 850 metres. North-West and South-Easterly aspects will also be affected due to cross loading. Fragile cornices will also exist above many of these aspects. The avalanche hazard will be Considerable.

Forecast Weather Influences: Overnight, the freezing level will lower to around 800 metres. The strong South-Westerly winds will ease and become fresh, mainly Westerly with snow showers falling mostly above 600 metres becoming less frequent during the day. Observed Weather Influences: It was a windy, damp day. The freezing level was around 750 metres during the morning which slowly rose to 950 metres. Strong Southerly winds with snow showers falling at first mostly above 650 metres these eased then fell as snow above 850 metres in the afternoon.

ObservedSnowStability: Unstable windslab continues to develop and gain depth in wind sheltered gullies and on coire headwalls, mainly on North to Easterly aspect above 850 metres, some other aspects are also affected by cross loading. Cornices are fragile and unstable. The avalanche hazard is Considerable.
