Warm temperatures and no snowfall have continued to stabilize the snowpack. In areas where there is enough snow to travel, the snowpack is mostly stable and avalanches are unlikely. Below 8,500 feet, there is no avalanche rating due to the lack of snow coverage. Early season conditions exist at all elevations, and the main hazard for backcountry travelers remains the shallow snow depths.

( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )High pressure will continue to dominate the region as a weak weather system passes to the north of the forecast area. No measurable snowfall is expected from this system. Tomorrow will be another warm and windy day. Mountain temperatures are expected to rise into the mid to upper thirties and valleys into the forties. Westerly winds will increase throughout the day with ridgetop speeds at 20 to 25 MPH gusting into the forties. Warm temperatures and no snowfall have continued to stabilize the snowpack.
