Some snow will fall over a wide area. The conditions are mostly favourable.

Over a wide area up to 5 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, will fall above approximately 1800 m. The new snow will be deposited on a favourable old snowpack. Weak layers in the old snowpack can be released especially by large additional loads. This applies especially at transitions from a shallow to a deep snowpack, and on very steep slopes. There is a danger of falling on the hard snow surface.

The snowpack is well consolidated and its surface consists of loosely bonded snow lying on a melt-freeze crust that is strong in many cases. Intermediate and high altitudes: Weak layers exist in the snowpack especially on northwest, north and northeast facing slopes. In particular in the vicinity of peaks snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind.
