Avalanche Activity

Isolated mostly small moist snow slides and avalanches are possible as a consequence of warming.

The small wind slabs can still be released in some cases above approximately 2300 m. They are to be found in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. Restraint should be exercised because avalanches can sweep people along and give rise to falls. As a consequence of warming, the likelihood of moist snow slides and avalanches being released will increase a little on rocky sunny slopes.

Snowpack Structure

The wind has transported the new snow and, in some cases, old snow as well. In some cases the wind slabs have bonded still only poorly with the old snowpack. In high Alpine regions snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. Below approximately 2000 m from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying.

Tendency

The weather will be very mild.
