Lo esencial

Skiers and riders have the potential to trigger soft slabs in steep wind loaded terrain above 9000 feet. This hazard deserves respect as even small slides can carry sever consequences. Evaluate snow and terrain carefully and avoid features of concern. Avalanches are unlikely at the mid and low elevations.

Pockets of slab up to eighteen inches in depth have been formed by recent snowfall and wind. These slabs lie upon older hard snow surfaces and could be human triggered in steep upper elevation avalanche starting zones and cliff areas. Sunlight and increasing temperatures may increase the sensitivity of these slabs this afternoon.
