There are several types of avalanches you can trigger out in the mountains today. Multiple nights without a hard freeze, combined with ongoing warm temperatures, will make many slopes unstable. Smaller point-release avalanches can gouge to the ground in saturated, steep terrain, or potentially break out a larger wet slab at higher elevations. Steer clear of steeper sunny terrain, especially around exposed rocky features, by midday or earlier if the snow is unsupportable.
In addition, there's still a small chance you can trigger a dry slab avalanche on steep north-facing slopes at higher elevations where weak layers are still cold and preserved.
