Lo esencial

Triggering avalanches will be possible in wind drifted snow on isolated terrain features on north, east, and south facing slopes near and above treeline. If you observe signs of unstable snow such as cracking in the surface slab or recent avalanches, consider choosing a different path or moving to lower angle terrain.

Keep an eye on slopes that were wind loaded during the last storm. Some wind slabs may need another day before writing them off. Be cautious especially on steep committing slopes that have been wind loaded. Ease into the terrain by starting on lower angle slopes and utilizing small test slopes to evaluate snow before moving into the steeper terrain.

Ball Butte on Friday after the storm cleared. There was some evidence of cross loading on the southern aspects and wind loading over the ridges above east facing slopes.
