As the day progresses as a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation there will be a gradual increase in the danger of moist avalanches to level 2 (moderate). In extremely steep terrain and at the base of rock walls and behind abrupt changes in the terrain natural moist avalanches are possible, even medium-sized ones. In addition the wind slabs must be taken into account. The mostly small wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant in isolated cases above approximately 2000 m. Backcountry tours and off-piste skiing should be started and concluded early.
The surface of the snowpack will soften during the day. This applies in particular on steep sunny slopes. The various wind slabs have bonded generally well with each other and the old snowpack.
