High avalanche danger will prevail.
The avalanche prone locations are widespread. As a consequence of new snow and wind, further wind slabs will form. Large to very large natural avalanches are possible over a wide area. In the regions exposed to heavier precipitation the avalanches can in isolated cases reach very large size and in some places endanger transportation routes situated at relatively high altitudes. Without question, it is inadvisable to engage in backcountry touring.
The new snow and wind slabs are bonding poorly with the old snowpack in all aspects. The wind slabs are prone to triggering. Over a wide area they will increase in size additionally. Weak layers exist in the snowpack in particular on shady slopes.
The conditions remain dangerous.
