Lo esencial

In the past two days two to three feet of new snow with over 1.5 inches of moisture has fallen at the mid and upper elevations of the Tetons. Southwest to west winds created new soft slabs. Yesterday skiers triggered numerous soft slabs on a variety of aspects at all elevations. Two skiers were partially buried. Similar events are likely today. At the mid and upper elevations soft slabs two to three feet in depth are likely to be easily triggered by single skiers on steep slopes. At the lower elevations isolated pockets of soft slab up to 18 inches in depth and loose snow sluffs could be human triggered in steep couloirs.
