Lo esencial

At the mid and upper elevations a few inches of snow lies upon hard wind packed snow and crusts in most areas and upon well developed surface hoar in shaded areas. Avalanches are unlikely at the mid and upper elevations except for in small isolated pockets. Most lower elevation slopes remain bare.

Avalanche Discussion

High pressure will move across the region Friday night followed by a weak upper level system that will bring light snow to the mountains Saturday afternoon into Sunday. Lows overnight Friday will be near ten degrees f. and highs Saturday near freezing. Ridge top winds Saturday will be southwesterly at 15 to 20 miles per hour. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW. Mostly stable snow exists and significant avalanches are not likely.
