Lo esencial

Soft slabs up to two feet in depth lie at upper elevations on steep wind loaded slopes. These slabs could be human triggered in areas where they are underlain by old, slick early season snow on N.W., North, N.E. and East aspects. Such a slide was reported to have released naturally Monday morning on Teton Pass on a North facing slope in the Mail Cabin drainage. Avalanches are unlikely today at mid and low elevations as these areas do not rest on the old snow surface and the new snow gains strength.
