The General Avalanche Hazard is Low this morning and will raise to MODERATE this afternoon. In the morning backcountry users could trigger isolated pockets of soft surface slabs to over a foot in depth in steep terrain near ridge crests above 8500'. As sunlight and warming significantly weaken the snow wet slab and wet loose activity will become possible on all aspects in the surface snow above 8500' and in the entire snowpack at the lowest elevations where the snowpack is generally warmer.
