Lo esencial
Additional snow and continued strong winds have resulted in an unstable snowpack at all elevations. Dense slabs lie on layers of light density snow and gaupel and if triggered could step down to deeper layers of faceted snow and crusts to four feet in depth. These slabs will be most sensitive and may release naturally at high elevations where the hazard remains at HIGH, and where TRAVEL IN AVALANCHE TERRAIN IS NOT RECOMMENDED. At mid elevations where the hazard is CONSIDERABLE these slabs will be triggered easily by backcountry users on steep wind loaded slopes. At low elevations pockets of slab could be triggered on steep terrain and although more shallow in depth, gullies and terrain traps should be avoided.
