Avalanche Summary

Up to six inches of new snow and strong westerly winds will have formed dense slabs on the eastern half of the compass. Higher-elevation slopes below ridges are the most likely places to find this problem and possibly trigger an avalanche. Steer around any steep terrain feature where you find more than a foot of newly drifted snow or see shooting cracks along the snow surface.
