Snow and Weather
Current Conditions: I woke up and there was actually some precipitation falling out of the sky!! Don't get too excited though. It was rain. So far today, I don't think we've accumulated much precip, as far as I can tell. Temperatures remain very warm with most stations at about 35˚ F overnight. Wind was a bit blustery on Wednesday from the south and southeast. Anemometers showed very slow speeds overnight, but I'm wondering if they may be rimed and not functioning correctly.
Mountain Weather: We'll see the chance for a little more precipitation today with no significant accumulations expected. Temperatures are going to remain warm and the rain/snow level will be up between 8000 and 9000 feet. We'll see the temperatures remain in the 30s. Weather models insist that we should have strong winds from the southwest today. The storm system will continue to affect our area into Sunday. The best chance for snow accumulation appears to be Friday night through Saturday. We may actually pick up measurable amounts. I'm currently thinking 4 to 7 inches new by Sunday.
