Hazard rating has dropped to low for all elevations on Douglas today. With little to no new snow accumulation, light overnight winds, and relatively warm temps the snowpack is in a healing state. It's a good day to remember that while natural and skier triggered avalanches are unlikely that does not mean they are impossible and you should still be vigilint about smart route finding, terrain selection, snowpack assesment and skiing/riding one at a time. Wet loose activity could be an issue later in the day today as things warm up.
Wet loose activity may present itself again today especially later in the day as temps warm up. Look for fresh point releases, cinnamon rolls, and roller balls as signs of wet loose. Remember that if you get enough wet and heavy snow moving on steeper terrain it can entrain more snow and be difficult to get out of if caught.
Little change overnight and mild weather conditions drop us back to low hazard for all elevations on Douglas today. No natural or skier triggered avalanches have been observed or reported in the last few days and stability test results have been stubborn. Layers of concern within the snowpack have showed signs of healing with a relatively warm snowpack and air temps. You could still possiblly find some isolated pockets of reactive wind slab from yesterday but should be gaining strength with time. While the snow is a bit wet and heavy good skiing can be found in upper elevations in untracked areas.
