Forecast Snow Stability: Isolated and shallow accumulations of windslab will build throughout the period on steep North-East through East to South aspects above 950 metres. Accumulations will contain weaknesses in the cold temperatures, particularly where they achieve depth in steep areas such as coire rims and gully tops. Outwith these areas a light dusting of snow will persist above 300 metres, disguising firm and icy old snow patches at higher elevations. Windward slopes will be icy. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Snow showers are expected overnight, from around 300 metres upwards, followed by a dry day. The freezing level will rise slightly, remaining at around 400 metres for the duration of the period. Winds will be Westerly and gale force initially, veering to North-Westerly becoming moderate by dawn. Observed Weather Influences: Occasional light snow showers throughout the day, with moderate North-Westerly winds. The freezing level was around 200 metres. ObservedSnowStability: Isolated and shallow windslab accumulations have developed on steep North-East through East to South aspects above 950 metres. Accumulations are soft and weak in the cold temperatures, but are mostly avoidable. Elsewhere a thin covering of snow exists above 300 metres. Old snow patches are very firm and icy. The avalanche hazard is Low.
