Lo esencial

Problemas de aludes

  • Wind slab

    • Above 2,400 m
  • Wet snow

    • Below 2,700 m

Snowpack Structure

Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be quite good. Less snow than usual is lying. 20 to 30 cm of snow fell on Saturday above approximately 2300 m. The strong wind has transported the new snow significantly. In the last three days on wind-loaded slopes medium-sized avalanches were released. The old snowpack will be moist, also in all aspects below approximately 2800 m. Above the tree line snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind.

Tendency

The avalanche danger will persist.

Avalanche Activity

In some cases the various wind slabs have bonded poorly with the old snowpack.

The more recent wind slabs are in some cases prone to triggering. They can be released easily. or in isolated cases naturally, in all aspects above approximately 2500 m. This also applies at a distance from ridgelines. In particular adjacent to ridgelines in all aspects small and medium-sized dry avalanches are possible. These can release the moist old snow as well and reach quite a large size. On steep sunny slopes small to medium-sized moist and wet avalanches are possible below approximately 2600 m.
