Avalanche Activity

Weakly bonded old snow above approximately 2000 m.

Weak layers in the old snowpack can be released in isolated cases and mostly by large additional loads at high altitude. Individual small avalanches are not entirely ruled out.

Snowpack Structure

On Thursday it will be cold. At high altitude the snowpack is frozen and has formed a strong crust. The old snowpack remains generally well bonded.
