Lo esencial

Over a foot of new snow has fallen at the higher elevations during the past four days. At the higher elevations strong north to northwest winds overnight formed pockets of wind slab on leeward aspects. Some potential may exist for humans to trigger wind slabs on steep slopes above an elevation of 9,000 feet that are undelain by old snow surfaces. Avalanches are unlikely where the new snow lies directly upon the ground.
