Lo esencial

Strong west-northwest to west-southwest winds have formed pockets of soft surface slab up to two feet in depth. Yesterday these slabs were reported to have been triggered by skiers and riders on a variety of aspects at the mid and upper elevations. Today's sunshine and warm temperatures will increase the sensitivity of these slabs to human triggers. As the day progresses the potential for wet slides to spontaneously release from steep sun lit aspects will increase. In the highest peaks of the central Teton Range snow is likely to cascade from steep upper slopes into the canyons.
