Avalanche Summary

Previously wind-loaded slopes are the most dangerous. These slopes face an easterly direction and are most likely to be found directly below ridgetop. Avalanches in drifted snow are stepping down to crusts and weaker snow layers that were buried in mid-March. These avalanches can be large, wide, and hard to escape. To reduce your risk of avalanches, avoid slopes with thicker drifts of snow and stick to more sheltered terrain.

We expect cloud cover and wind to limit the threat of wet avalanches on Monday, but if you encounter wet snow, move to slopes with a drier snowpack.
