Avalanche Summary

Dangerous conditions start to develop on Wednesday. Upper-elevation slopes with more than about 6 inches of new snow will be most dangerous. Slides in the new snow can step down to buried weak layers and grow larger. Look for and avoid steep, drifted slopes that face northwest through east to south. Cracking in the storm snow and audible collapses are indications to avoid steep slopes. Look for slopes less than about 30 degrees that are not connected to steep slopes above as a safer option.
