Avalanche Discussion
As the system continues to move to the east, the likelihood for snow will continue to diminish overnight and mostly clear skies are expected west of the continental divide on Thursday with mostly cloudy skies expected to continue to the east. Temperatures are to rise into the upper thirties in the mountains and the upper forties to low fifties in the valleys. Summit winds from the northeast are to continue with averages of ten to twenty miles per hour. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be low on Thursday below 10500 feet. Dry and wet loose avalanches will be possible as the day warms, especially in area that received greater accumulations during this most recent event.
