Lo esencial
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. The primary concern are surface slabs that could be human triggered in steep avalanche terrain up to 18 inches in depth that were created by recent storms. The secondary concern are large, dangerous hard slabs up to 5 feet in depth, which are becoming difficult to initiate. However, large groups, snow machiners, falling cornices, and surface slabs could all act as a trigger for these avalanches with severe consequences. These surface slabs, deeper hard slabs, and cornices will become more susceptible to failure this afternoon when significant warming is expected.
