Avalanche Activity

In the Fatra Mountains, due to snowfall, a SMALL avalanche danger has been created, level 1.

The avalanche danger is local and is mainly related to locations with greater accumulation of new snow - steep couloirs and gullies. Smaller avalanches are possible here, especially with large additional loads.

Snowpack Structure

The heavier snowfall occurred mainly in the eastern half of Slovakia, with less, 10 to 25 cm of new snow in the Fatra Mountains. The new snow fell on a grassy base without old snow.

Persistent during the day, it should not snow heavily in this part of Slovakia today
