The avalanche danger will already exist in the early morning. In the event of an overcast night this applies especially in all aspects. Additionally in some places moist and wet avalanches can penetrate near-ground layers of the snowpack reach medium size in particular on very steep shady slopes. Isolated large avalanches are possible in the regions with a lot of snow. In particular areas where the snow cover is rather shallow below approximately 2800 m: Wet avalanches can be released in the weakly bonded old snow by a single winter sport participant. The more recent wind slabs are in some cases still prone to triggering in all aspects and generally at high altitudes and in high Alpine regions. These can in isolated cases be released, even by a single winter sport participant and reach medium size. The Avalanche Warning Service currently has only a small amount of information that has been collected in the field, so that the avalanche danger should be investigated especially thoroughly in the relevant locality.

The spring-like weather conditions gave rise to rapid moistening of the snowpack over a wide area. Sunshine and high temperatures will give rise to a loss of strength within the snowpack over a wide area. The weather conditions fostered a gradual strengthening of the snow drift accumulations. Especially at high altitudes and in high Alpine regions a lot of snow is lying. Individual weak layers exist in the snowpack in shady places that are protected from the wind, especially above approximately 2400 m.

The avalanche danger will persist.
