Avalanche Activity

Low, level 1.

Hardly any small avalanches are possible as a consequence of warming. Very isolated avalanche prone locations are to be found at high altitude and adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls.

Snowpack Structure

The more recent wind slabs are to be found in gullies and bowls and at high altitudes. They are very small. Sunshine and high temperatures will give rise as the day progresses to softening of the old snowpack. Backcountry touring calls for caution and restraint. There is a danger of falling on the icy crust.
