With the onset of the snowfall, the natural avalanche activity will slowly increase. As a consequence of new snow and wind the avalanche prone locations will become more prevalent in the afternoon. In all aspects as well as in all altitude zones less snow than usual is lying. The conditions are unfavourable for ski touring. The wind slabs are to be found adjacent to ridgelines and at high altitudes. These places are covered with new snow and are difficult to recognise. These can in very isolated cases be released, mostly by large loads. The Avalanche Warning Service currently has only a small amount of information.

Up to 5 cm of snow fell on Tuesday above approximately 800 m. In some localities 25 cm of snow, but less in some localities, will fall above approximately 2000 m. The new snow of Saturday will be deposited on surface hoar above approximately 2200 m. From a snow sport perspective, insufficient snow is lying. On north, northeast and east facing slopes snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. Faceted weak layers exist in the bottom section of the snowpack in particular on rocky shady slopes.

The avalanche danger will already increase in the late morning.
