You may still be able to trigger avalanches within recent storm snow, and deeper on the old/new snow interface buried February 22nd. Triggering avalanches on these mid-storm interfaces remains possible near and above treeline on convex/unsupported slopes greater than 35 degrees. The 2/22 interface is still a lingering issue, but may not harbor weak snow in all locations. This makes conditions especially tricky right now. Continue to watch for obvious signs of instability like shooting cracks, whumphing collapses, and recent avalanches. Use snowpack tests to evaluate storm snow layers as well as the old/new interface buried about 2ft deep looking for easy, sudden, and propagating fractures. Evaluate each slope carefully, and ease into terrain slowly. When in doubt, default to lower-angle, conservative terrain.
