Lo esencial

Three to four inches of new snow fell in the past twenty four hours with moderate winds. Little slab development was observed yesterday although today areas below higher ridge crests could hold sensitive soft slabs to two feet deep. Slides are also possible in areas where larger amounts of snow accumulate as under cliffs or chutes. The overnight snow brings totals of new snow over the past several days to two feet. At mid elevations surface hoar from a clear period late last week sits under this newer snow and slides cloud be triggered there in steep east to north aspects. Avalanches are unlikely at the lower elevations due to shallow snow depths.
