The General Avalanche Hazard is LOW in the northern portion of the forecast area and MODERATE in the southern portion where 10 to 18 inches of new snow fell in the past several days. Pockets of soft surface slab one to two feet in depth lie upon hard crust and could be human triggered on steep wind loaded slopes.

( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )Skies are expected be partly to mostly cloudy. By evening a weak disturbance will bring a chance of light snow and increased wind. Temperatures will rise into the 30's. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW. Isolated pockets of new soft slab up to one foot deep could be human triggered in steep wind loaded starting zones. Outlying areas that may have recently received considerably more new snow will have a significantly higher hazard.
