Lo esencial
At upper elevations dense slabs to two feet in depth lie from past storms deposited by Westerly and South-westerly winds on steep avalanche paths and around cliff areas. Due to yesterdays warming these slabs should be stable early this morning and become more sensative as warming occurs. The possibility continues for backcountry users to trigger these slabs where they are underlain by a layer of weak October snow. At mid elevaions the possibility of triggering isolated pockets of these slabs exists only on steep shaded avalanche paths. At low elevations avalanches are unlikely as the snowpack is shallow and lacks the weak layer.
