Colder temperatures will decrease the wet snow avalanche hazard. At the highest elevations isolated pockets of shallow wind slab up to a foot in depth could be triggered by humans who venture into steep couloirs, chutes and cliff areas. These shallow slides could knock a person over and carry them down very steep terrain features.

Skies will be partly cloudy on Monday with a chance of scattered snow showers in the Togwotee Pass area. Temperatures will drop into the teens overnight and rise into the 20’s and 30's during the day. Winds will be from the northeast to northwest at 5 to 15 miles per hour.The general avalanche hazard is expected to be low. At the highest elevations isolated pockets of wind slab are a potential risk to humans who venture into extreme terrain like steep couloirs, chutes and cliff areas. These small slabs are likely to be less than a foot in depth and could knock a person over and carry them down very steep terrain features. Tomorrow’s sunshine will soften snow surfaces on steep sunlit aspects. Monitor conditions for increasing wet snow avalanche hazards during the warmest portion of the day.
