Quick report

Went down Blue Lakes road today to check conditions. The road still has good coverage and traveled well. Sledding conditions were wet and punchy with  wet snow on the surface and weak snow below. Rain runnels were present up to ~8300' on all aspects. Weather was clear and warm in the morning hours but clouds increased in the afternoon causing temps to drop and the surface to start refreezing in areas. The snowpack looked and reacted the same today in a few different locations miles apart. In my pits, the Dec. 12th and basal facet layers were wet and compressible. Within my compression tests the Dec. 12th layer was reactive but under heavy loading steps (CT21-23)  with progressive compression and poor shear quality as well. I had ECTN results to follow. Traveling around in the surrounding terrain I saw no other signs of instabitlity.
