Quick report

Collapsing
isolated

Incredibly warm for early February. Forecast was 32*F for high temp at 6000’. In the lightest layers we were sweating until the top 1000’, and the snow was soft and heavy even at 9am (except that upper part, which had a lenticular sitting above it all day). Snow was glopping on skins by 10am. Recent evidence of smaller loose wet slides on multiple slopes, countless rollerballs. Decided to stay on more concave terrain/ridges or traverse across faces one at a time on the way down (starting around 1pm from top) due to how warm the snowpack was with 6-12” of soft snow on top of a harder surface was was forecast by NWAC. No crust in the AM.

Avalanche

Wet loose avalanche debris on many slopes. No avalanches notes occurring while I was out there.
