Weather

Calm, nearby wx station showed a high of 10F at ~13k. Increasing clouds with intermittent sun

Snowpack

Skier 2 was able to assess the crown and could identify 2-3mm near-surface facet growth ontop of a thin crust. The snowpack in this area has been generally thin throughout the season and had seen a natural cycle (believe 3/6 storm) amongst the same terrain and similar patterns during that time

Avalanche

E/NE above treeline at 13K. Slope angles varied from mid 30's to ~40 degrees where the presumed trigger point was.
