Quick report
A few hasty obs from Ben Steward and Eaglecrest Backcountry. Overall stability was good, and avalanche hazard was not or primary concern considering with this very thin snowpack. The only signs of instability we observed were isolated pockets of stubborn, and thin windslab above 2,200'. Thickness ranged between 5-10cm, and any cracking stayed directly under our skis/boards (no shooting cracks). The shallow, early season snowpack contributed to the isolated nature of any windslab we observed, as many slopes below 2,800ft are still broken up by rocks, grassy ridges, etc. limiting connectivity of terrain.
