Quick report
I hiked to Lake Blanche then onto the blue ice waterfall on lower Sundial Peak. The trail to Blanche was melted out to above the meadow about 1.5 miles up trail. I was a bit surprised to see the trail still on the summer route which could be problematic if decent snows pile up next week in the hoped for pattern change. The snow at Lake Blanche and above was definitely sun and heat affected but less so in the pines.

- <p>I observed a couple of avalanches while hiking Monday. Most appeared to be older but one west of Dromedary was fairly recent and broke in the cliff bands and then ran a fair distance it appeared. </p>
