Beautiful, sunny conditions, light wind but no observed snow transport in sparcely treed areas. Observed large surface hoar galore, particularly on shaded north/northeast aspects. Observed a small collapse about 4in deep around a soft crust with moderate force during a column test. Observed no propagation during an ECT. Saw no other signs of instability
