Quick report

Surface hoar to 3mm is present in the flats and wind protected areas. Temperature inversion was supporting SH preservation. Average height of snow 110cm at 2650'. The Thanksgiving storm added re-bar like strength to the basal crusty layers. We only got to 2650', but the surfaces were getting wind affected and variable with windslab was observed above us.

We saw one D2 pocket of fresh windslab that popped out below 27 Mile peak on a windloaded convexity with exposed rocks. We heard of a snowmachine triggered windslab avalanche up in Girls area the day previous, as well as a report of the Wall being triggered by a party of Road Runners Friday or Saturday.
