Quick report
The snowpack at upper elevations locked up nicely and it was fun to ski the fresh 1-2 inches on smooth steep surfaces. Traveling was difficult at upper elevations because of the firm surface below the new snow. I always had to find lower angled slopes to ascend and at one point booting was deployed to gain elevation. Small amounts of new snow would sluff or roller ball steeper terrain, but never piled up or ran fast.
